
Northeast Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (NDHHS) opened its door on April 3rd, 2001 and is New Hampshire's first effort to provide centralized services for NH residents who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, and Deaf/Blind. Hearing Loss can affect spoken/auditory communication and therefore have an impact in many areas including: social interactions, information access, employment, health care access, mental health services access, education access, services access, lack of interpreter access, and citizens participation in the affairs of government and policy making.
